Kanchanjangha Verde is our premium green tea that undergoes minimal oxidation in tea processing. It helps in retaining the plant's natural appearance and color. It also preserves the healthy properties of the plant.
Green tea flavors are rather complex depending on its processing technique. Kanchanjangha Verde green tea is roasted which preserves its mellow flavors and subtle taste. It has floral aromas and grassy taste notes. The infused leaves give a marine scent, which is how the quality of green teas are technically determined. More the marine scent, better the quality.
To brew the finest cup of Kanchanjangha Verde, use approximately two grams (the amount of a single tea bag) of tea per 8.5 fl. oz. (a standard US cup) of water of temperature 65 to 71℃ (150 to 160℉). In general, use not quite boiling water or let the water cool down for about 1.5 to 2 minutes after boiling. Steep for about 2 to 3 minutes to enjoy the subtle grassy flavor of Kanchanjangha Verde.
Brewing green tea is considered rather complicated since steeping green tea for too long or in too hot water will result in a bitter and astringent brew regardless of the quality of the leaves.
