Pramila Subedi

Pramila, our founder Nish's older sister, worked tirelessly as a nurse for more than a decade with a service soul at heart. In her last few years, she expanded her vision for the future by providing crucial financial education to middle and lower income families, making a significant difference in their lives.

Pramila's Story

Pramila had one of the most difficult times getting an education - since educating girls were not a norm during her childhood - but she fought for it with all the strength from an eastern impoverished village to state universities in the USA.

This tea was produced at one of the most difficult times for the tea bushes i.e. right in the middle of the end of the first flush and almost the start of the second flush. The conditions are brutal - the tea plants have given all they can during the first flush and are almost out of energy and are ready to go on a 15-day dormancy period before they start their most productive harvest, the second flush.
Therefore, this tea is filled with all the hopes and aspirations to bring out the best despite the conditions and timing and really sacrifice itself to allow the second flush to thrive and bring out the most it possibly can!

Plucked on the auspicious day of Buddha Jayanti (the birth date of Lord Buddha), this tea is filled with one thing - HOPE. Frankly, this is not our best tea and I want you to drink this tea for NOT what it is but for what it could become.
